I grew up in Monterey, California. Our family’s home was perched on a hill overlooking Fisherman’s Wharf, where on many nights I could hear the sea lions wailing from the rocky coast. Living near the shores of the mighty tides of the Pacific Ocean left an indelible impression on me. The rhythms of nature were audible, ever present, and comforting.
Since my childhood, I have spent two decades immersing myself in art, yoga, and spirituality while holding the question of our place in the natural world.
Art has long been the natural vehicle to satisfy my curiosity and in 2012 I moved to San Francisco to develop my creative practice. In 2015 I completed my first 10-day silent retreat in the Vipassana tradition. In 2017 I received an MFA in Art from Mills College, where I read and re-read Gaston Bachelard, recorded many hours of wild flowing water, and curated spaces dedicated to deep listening.
Since 2020, I became increasingly interested in developing alternative spaces dedicated to healing. In 2024 I began a two-year study of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy through Body Intelligence, and two years later, Slow Lane was born.

Boris is a deeply attuned, and deeply skillful, practitioner. My session with him was very healing and transformative. After our session, I felt renewed energy, openness, aliveness, and a grounded sense of calm and ease in my body that I have not felt for a long time. I am really thankful for Boris’ care and his wonderful contribution to my wellbeing through BCST.
